API’s NEW Lab Requirements for ISO 22241-2 DEF Analysis
API now requires labs to be ISO 17025 certified for ISO 22241-2 DEF analysis.
Reports submitted to API must now show your accredited body’s logo for ISO 17025.
Enalytic is 1 of ONLY 4 labs in the US currently certified for this.
ISO 17025 has stringent regulations for quality control for laboratories. It has a number of different methods which a lab can request for accreditation, but in this particular case we are referring to the ISO 22241-2 methods of the analysis for DEF.
These methods are very different than the run of the mill wastewater and water methods that most labs follow. Laboratories must be certified for these ISO 22241-2 parameters. Methods that do not follow ISO 22241-2 yield results that do not reflect API’s criteria.
With new types of SCR units coming on line which are more susceptible to poisoning by contamination, this requirement for DEF is more important than ever.
Our Certificate of Analysis for DEF shows our ISO 17025 certification, and we’ll let you know if any values are trending upwards so you can get ahead of any potential problems.
We also have a unique international quality control program for companies who sign up for either quarterly or monthly sample submissions, with a certificate sent out at the end of the year. Our clients are able to display the excellent quality of DEF they’ve submitted through the year for their own marketing purposes.
We take pride in our competitive pricing and personable customer service and hope to be of as much assistance as possible. Give us a call today and see what we can do for you!
